Walk in Your Shoes 2024 is back!
Join us as we walk Pilgrims’ Way: Beal to Lindisfarne.
This was our most popular walk of 2021. Walking the route to Holy Island that has been taken by people all through the ages is a fascinating opportunity. Mary Gunn, an experienced guide, will lead us across.
As you can see from the image above it will be muddy! Walkers are welcome to walk bare foot as our ancestors did, or modern day wellies would be advised. The ground underfoot will be very slippery.
The walk will start from, and end at, the main car park on Lindisfarne. We will catch Border Buses route 477 to the start of the walk at Beal. Details of the May bus schedules are yet to be announced, but it is likely to be around 10am. We will contact you nearer the time to confirm arrangements. The walk is provided for free but please be prepared to pay the fare.
The walk is approximately 3 miles long and we hope to stop and have lunch together afterwards, please bring your own refreshments.
All route information can be found here.
The walk is free, however booking is required so we can accommodate numbers.
