Josey is a brand-new audio musical inspired by Northumberland heroine, feminist and social reformer, Josephine Butler.
You can listen to Josey here: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/josey-themusical
We are currently in the process of developing Josey into a live stage show and would love your input on some of the issues we intend to explore.
Join us for an informal chat on Zoom on Saturday 19th August or Saturday 9th September at 10.00am.
Please note, you do not need to have any prior knowledge of Josephine Butler or indeed any of the discussion points below. We are keen for you to join if you have an interest, a perspective, a viewpoint, something to say or equally if you would just like to come along and listen to others.
The following will give you an idea of the starting points for discussion, but we will let the chat go in whatever direction it needs to, preferably with a cuppa!
Female Activism - What is this?
What holds us back?
What are the most urgent causes for Female Activism?
How are Female Activists represented in the media?
How can we contribute?
