Josey, an Evening of Music and History

Featuring songs from Katie Doherty’s new musical ‘Josey’.

Join us for an evening of music and history as we celebrate the life and legacy of Josephine Butler (1828-1906).

Josephine was an English feminist, social reformer, and advocate for the rights of women.

Her story is at the centre of a new musical written by singer – songwriter Katie Doherty. For one night only, Josey will be presented as a work-in-progress performance with musicians Andrew Cadie and Jeremy Bradfield, and actors Zoe Lambert and Chloe Millar.

The event also includes a talk from acclaimed writer and speaker, Jane Robinson, author of “Josephine Butler. A very brief history”, sharing insight into Josephine’s life and the world around her.
